Community Guidelines

24 Frames is a place to watch, listen, make and share. These guidelines say how we expect everyone to behave, whether you are watching, posting a short, going live or running a channel. They apply to everything you do on the service. They are written so that a moderator can point to a numbered rule when they act, and so that you can point to one when you appeal. Breaking them can lead to your content being removed and your account restricted or closed, as set out in Moderation and Appeals.

1. The basics

1.1 These guidelines apply to all content and all behaviour on 24 Frames: videos, music, Shorts, live streams and their replays, reactions, profiles, display names, avatars and reports.

1.2 They apply alongside the Content Policy, which says what may be published and how it must be labelled, and the Terms of Service.

1.3 You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] to use 24 Frames.

1.4 Context matters. A documentary about violence is not the same as a video that glorifies it. When we judge content, we look at what it shows, what it says, why it appears to have been made, and how it is labelled.

2. Respect other people

2.1 Treat people as you would in person. Disagree with ideas without attacking the person.

2.2 No harassment. Do not target a person with abuse, insults, threats or unwanted sexual attention. Do not organise or encourage others to do so. Repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop is harassment.

2.3 No hate. Do not attack, dehumanise or call for the exclusion of people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, tribe, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, health condition or immigration status. Slurs, hateful stereotypes and hateful symbols used to promote hate are not allowed.

2.4 No threats. Do not threaten to harm anyone, and do not wish harm on anyone. This includes "jokes" that a reasonable person would take as a threat.

2.5 No doxxing. Do not publish anyone's private information, such as their home address, phone number, identity number, private photos, financial details or location, without their consent. Do not encourage others to find or share it.

2.6 No impersonation. Do not pretend to be another person, a business, an organisation or 24 Frames staff. Parody and fan accounts are fine if they are clearly labelled as such and would not mislead a reasonable person.

3. Keep people safe

3.1 Sexual content involving minors is never allowed. This includes any sexualised depiction of a person under 18, real or synthetic, and any content that sexualises minors, grooms them or offers access to them. We remove it, close the account, preserve the evidence and report it to the authorities.

3.2 No sexual content generally. 24 Frames is not a place for pornography or sexually explicit content. The Content Policy explains what mature content an "adults only" title may contain, and where the line is.

3.3 No glorification of violence. Do not post content that celebrates, promotes or instructs violence, terrorism or violent extremism, or that shows gore for its own sake. News, documentary, drama and education that deal with violence responsibly are allowed when labelled correctly.

3.4 No dangerous acts. Do not post content that encourages people, especially young people, to do things likely to cause serious injury or death, including dangerous challenges, self-harm, eating disorders and the misuse of drugs or weapons. Content that discusses these subjects to educate or support is allowed.

3.5 No exploitation. Do not post content that promotes human trafficking, sexual exploitation or cruelty to animals.

3.6 No illegal goods or services. Do not use 24 Frames to sell or promote illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods or counterfeit products.

4. Be honest

4.1 No spam. Do not post repetitive, irrelevant or bulk content. Do not use bots or automated tools to post, watch, follow, react or report.

4.2 No scams. Do not deceive people for money or personal information. Do not promote pyramid schemes, fake giveaways, phishing or fraud of any kind.

4.3 No manipulation. Do not artificially inflate views, likes, follows or reactions, and do not coordinate with others to do so.

4.4 Label altered content. If a video, Shorts or stream has been altered or made with synthetic tools in a way that could mislead, mark it as altered or synthetic when you publish. The Content Policy sets out when this is required and when altered content is banned outright.

4.5 Disclose paid promotion. If you were paid or given something to feature a product, service, brand or person, mark the title as containing paid promotion.

5. Respect other people's work

5.1 Only publish what you have the right to publish. Do not upload films, shows, songs or clips that belong to someone else. See the Creator Terms and the Copyright and Takedown Policy.

5.2 Do not record, capture or redistribute content from 24 Frames.

6. Live streams

6.1 Every rule here applies live, in real time. Going live is not an excuse for anything you would not be allowed to publish as a video.

6.2 You are responsible for what happens on your stream, including guests, callers and anything visible in the background. If someone on your stream breaks these rules, stop it.

6.3 We record live streams and publish the recording as a replay on your channel. Anything that breaks these rules in a stream also breaks them in the replay. We may end the stream, remove the replay, or both.

6.4 Do not rebroadcast other people's content live, including sport, television, films, concerts and other people's streams.

7. Reporting well

7.1 If you see something that breaks these rules, report it. Choose the reason that fits best and, if it helps, add a short note saying where in the content the problem is.

7.2 Reports are reviewed by people. A report does not remove content by itself.

7.3 Do not weaponise reports. Do not report content because you dislike the person, disagree with an opinion, or want to silence a competitor. Do not organise mass reporting. Knowingly false or abusive reporting is itself a breach of these guidelines, and we may restrict accounts that do it.

7.4 If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police or emergency services first, then report to us.

7.5 Blocking is always available. If you do not want to see a channel, block it. Blocking removes that channel from your recommendations. We do not review blocks and you do not need to justify them.

8. Consequences

8.1 If you break these guidelines we may remove the content, give you a warning, restrict what your account can do for a period, or close your channel or account. Serious breaches, including anything under rule 3.1, lead straight to closure.

8.2 How we decide, how we tell you, and how to appeal are set out in Moderation and Appeals.

8.3 Where content is illegal, we may preserve it and share it with the authorities as the law requires.
